I have been in your shoes, struggling with anxiety and self-esteem, and feeling lost; not knowing what the future may hold. I can bring empathy and compassion and I genuinely care about helping you make positive changes to your life. I work in a confidential, safe and supportive way to help you understand and change what is challenging you.
I work with a range of people, who choose to work with me for a variety of different issues. As a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist from the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, I use evidence based therapy, a unique blend of hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness that have been proven to work effectively
There is no set format or solution when it comes to therapy, as we are all unique individuals. Therefore each session is tailor-made to your individual needs, so it is right for your personal goals. I pride myself on creating a safe and supportive ‘place’ where you feel at ease to openly discuss your thoughts and feelings. I will support you every step of the way, we work together as a team.
Some people believe hypnotherapy is ‘woo woo’ and that you will be out of control, maybe even run around like a chicken as you see on stage. This form of hypnosis is purely for entertainment, it couldn’t be further from what you will experience. I liken it to being in a state of deep, calm relaxation, where you are always in control.
You choose to accept suggestions made to you and in most cases, you will remember everything or certain parts of the experience. It is often compared to daydreaming – you are fully conscious but with more focus, heightening imagination and suggestibility. The more you practice the better you become.
Everyone is different and will have different experiences. When hypnotised, your attention is highly focused making you more likely to listen and respond to positive suggestions. This can lead to changes in behaviour and negative thought patterns. Many people feel very relaxed, calm and detached whilst still being aware of the therapist’s voice. Some people find their imaginations are more vivid. Most importantly, you are in control and can communicate with the therapist throughout.
During the initial consultation, we will discuss your goals, background and any concerns you may have. The great thing is after the first session, you may start to feel a bit different. You may begin to look at things differently, and act a little differently and before too long, you realise you are different, a change has occurred.
Hypno-CBT can effectively transform unhelpful eating habits to support weight loss by learning to spot unhelpful eating patterns and enhance positive thoughts abouts nourishing foods. This multi-modal approach has a higher success rate than dieting alone and teaches you how to nourish your body for lasting wellness.
Anxiety – coaching with CBH is a way to reframe any negative unhelpful thought patterns that keep us stuck in a place that might trigger anxiety. We will work together to get this under control and move forward towards a positive mindset.
Imposter syndrome, over-thinking & self-confidence issues – working together to unravel the unhelpful thought patterns by reprograming the mind to achieve success in your life and improve your confidence and self-esteem.
Stress – can be overwhelming and together to learn effective tools to deal with stressful situations and ultimately to achieve deep relaxation, promoting better sleep and addressing insomnia.
Habit reversal support like stopping smoking, nail biting or skin picking.
As we move further into 2025, I'd love to share with you the gift of Self-Hypnosis. I shall be running online workshops to teach this valuable skill. To learn more, read the latest blog for all the details!

Yes! It is like daydreaming which is something we all do from time to time. If you are feeling comfortable and safe, you will enjoy the process and may find it an enjoyable, relaxing experience. Think of it as time to yourself, to enhance your skills and become the best version of yourself. And don’t worry, you will not be ‘stuck’ in hypnosis – you are aware and choose whether to accept the suggestions being made.
The simple answer is YES. You are in control at all times, and it is your choice if you choose to accept the suggestions made to you during hypnosis. We are both working together towards your goal.
Hypnosis can be effective for most people, although some individuals are more open and responsive to hypnosis than others. The more open and positively receptive you are to the process, the better results you are likely to see. Since we are all unique, the outcomes will vary. The effectiveness of hypnosis depends on your own commitment and active participation. Some common issue hypnotherapy can help with
