As we move towards the end of the year, I wanted to take a moment to send a message that’s a little different from my usual updates.
Christmas means very different things to different people. While shops and social calendars can feel as though they’re reaching fever pitch, for many this time of year can be quieter, reflective, or even challenging. Some people may be missing loved ones who are no longer with them, coping with ill health, or simply feeling worn down by the pressure that can come with expectations around Christmas.
It’s worth remembering that Christmas is just one day. It doesn’t have to look a certain way, and it doesn’t have to be perfect. However you spend it, busy or quiet, surrounded by people or enjoying time alone, it’s okay to do what feels right for you.
Personally, I’m really looking forward to a quiet Christmas with my family. In recent years, I’ve moved away from the idea of strict “New Year’s Resolutions” of giving up this and that, which to be honest has resulted by the end of January slipping back into old ways. Instead, I'm going to use this time to reflect and work towards positive, realistic changes in my life. For example, back in September, I decided to build more body strength. Rather than setting an all-or-nothing goal, I focused on creating a new habit, and I know it takes at least 21 days to create a new habit. My first step was to join a local gym. Since then, I’ve been going at least twice a week, small, consistent steps that have made a real difference. It’s a reminder that meaningful change doesn’t need to be dramatic; it just needs to be sustainable.
Looking ahead to 2026, I’ll be sharing a few new things in the New Year.
✨ In January, I’ll be offering a special deal to quit smoking or vaping, aimed at supporting people who want to make changes in a supportive, non-judgemental way.
✨ I’ll also be sharing some work from a client (with permission), exploring how we worked together to change their mindset around alcohol, not through restriction or pressure, but by reshaping how drinking was viewed and understood. More on that in January.
✨ Alongside my usual work, I continue to support young people and their families, particularly around exam stress, confidence, anxiety, and emotional regulation.
✨ I will also be offering affordable monthly online group hypnosis sessions, focused on relaxation, reset, and calming the nervous system — a gentle space to pause and reconnect.
For now, I want to wish you a calm, peaceful end to the year, a time for reflection, rest, and perhaps gently thinking about where you’d like to be and how you’d like to feel as you move into 2026.
Whatever this season looks like for you, thank you for being here.
Warmest wishes,
Lisa
